State Solo & Ensemble April 29th

State Solo & Ensemble is happening tomorrow in Platteville. Remember to bring your own judges copy, and any permissions you may need, and best of luck to those who qualified!

Spring Concerts May 9th & 10th

Cardinal Band, Concert Band, & Chamber Winds - May 9th

Symphonic Winds & Chamber Winds - May 10th (all seniors recommended to attend to celebrate your accomplishments)

Both concerts start at 7:30 pm in the PAC

Call time for performers is 6:50 pm

Seniors, please remember to fill out the form sent out a few weeks ago to be featured on the senior slideshow!

Jazz Tracs May 19th & Dress Rehearsal May 18th

Final jazz concert of the year featuring all of our jazz bands! This concert is free, and all are welcome to enjoy a night of jazz from these committed musicians. Concert starts at 7:30 pm in the PAC.

Call time for performers is 6:50 pm.

Dress rehearsals for performers start at 6:00 pm in the PAC on May 18th

Percussion Final Concert May 21st

Please join us on May 21st for a final presentation of pieces prepared by our advanced percussion classes this year. The event will start promptly at 4 pm in the PAC.

Memorial Day, May 29th

All students are expected to participate in Memorial Day ceremonies on May 29th. If you cannot make this event, an alternative assignment will be provided. Music will be handed out after spring concerts, and a more detailed schedule will be provided after confirmation with the event coordinators once we have them. Typically this event is only in the morning until approximately 1 pm and can be counted towards volunteering opportunities and community service. -- Eric Rothacker

4/18/23 - MHS Band Spring Concerts & End-of-Year Fundraiser

Dear Band Families,

Our spring band series is coming up soon at the PAC on May 9th and 10th.

Please join us before each concert for Desserts, Donations, and Diamonds, which is the last band booster event of this school year! These fun-filled family and friend events coincide with the spring concerts at the high school, and all are welcome! There will be a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and a chance to win a real diamond!!!! Please enter the school through the North Commons (Door 30). As you know, you are all members of the booster organization just by having a child in the band program. Your support of band boosters allows our music program to bring in amazing guest artists from around the state and country, help band students perform with accompaniment at the solo and ensemble festival, purchase new instruments, and continue to provide our marching band with much-needed resources to be competitive in state competitions. It helps us bridge gaps and to realize equity and inclusion in our instrumental music program and is key to our success and the success of our students.

4/13/2023 - Marching Band Registration Closes this Friday!

Hello band families,

This is a last call for 2023 Marching Band Registration! Registration for students to participate in next year's show "Into the Night" closes this Friday 4/14. We are tracking to yet again be the largest organization in the district with the hundreds that have already registered, and we'd love for you to be involved. Please make sure you register on or before Friday, and feel free to reach out to Mr. Rothacker at erothacker@mcpasd.k12.wi.us if you have any questions, comments, concerns.
