Hello band families,


1. State Solo/Ensemble Registration DUE THURSDAY

If you qualified for the WSMA state solo/ensemble festival by earning a 1* at the district level, the state festival is Saturday, April 30th at UW-Platteville. Sign up here no later than this Thursday 4/7.


2. Performance Videos from Large Group

Check out these videos of our performances from the large group festival last month! Congratulations again to all student performers.

1. Large Group Festival

Congratulations to everyone on great performances at Large Group on Wednesday. It was so great to hear bands from other schools, present the music we've been working on, and have another clinic with Dr. Cheldon Williams. Performance videos will be available soon on Google Classroom.


2. Fine Arts Week - Jazz Bands & Chamber Winds

A few reminders about Fine Arts week performances. No need to dress up.

Monday, 4/4

  • Full Orchestra performs during Block 2

Tuesday, 4/5

  • Chamber Winds performs during Block 7

Wednesday 4/6

  • Jazz Bands perform as follows:

  • Block 3 - 7:00 Jazz

  • Block 4 - Jazz Lab, Cardinal Big Band, Jazz Orchestra


3. MHS Brass/Saxophone/Percussion Camp

Stay tuned for the show announcement and registration info coming the first week of April! Note that the summer band camp dates are August 15th-28th.


5. Concert Ensemble Rosters 2022-23

Ensemble rosters are now available for next year's concert ensembles. We are super excited to carry this year's momentum forward into the next school year. All of the groups have many strong musical leaders and will play challenging music at a very high level. Click here for the rosters.
