12/3/21 Band Updates

1. WSMA State Honors Registration DUE TONIGHT

If you want to audition in February for the 2022 all-state ensembles, registration is due tonight! All info here.

2. Fruit Delivery Day 12/11

- Don't forget to pick up all fruit at the high school between 8am and 12pm.

- Parents, please sign up here to volunteer for delivery day! Thank you in advance!

- Students, there will be volunteer signups available this week during class. If you want a specific job (like truck unloading), check the bulletin board before school Monday. 3. Solo & Ensemble Reminders - Registrations will be due by December 17th. - MHS Bands Solo/Ensemble is January 29th at the high school. Please plan on attending regardless of whether you participate in other festivals. - Optional: the WSMA festival is on February 19th, also at the high school. This year we are not pushing students to participate. But if you are hoping to qualify for the WSMA state festival this year you will need to do a WSMA festival. - We'll be talking a lot about solo/ensemble in class next week! See you Monday! 11/29/21 Band Updates

1. Instrument Pick-Up

If you left your instrument at school over the holiday, you may come retrieve it today between 3:00 and 6:00pm. Enter directly by the band room doors. You will not be able to access other parts of the building, only your locker in the music area.

2. Fruit Delivery Day - Dec. 11th!

- Please don't forget to pick up your fruit between 8:00am and 12:00pm

- Parents, please sign up to volunteer

- Students, plan to volunteer for a few hours that morning. Stay tuned for info!

3. WSMA State Honors Auditions

- Auditions are not until February, but the deadline to register is this Friday!

Jazz Bands Canceled Tomorrow 11/29

Unfortunately, jazz bands are canceled for tomorrow (11/29) because students are not yet allowed back in the building. Practice your music! Please check your email tomorrow for updates, including pick-up times for instruments left at school over the holiday.

7 o'clock Jazz -- because you have a performance this Saturday, we were able to secure some time in an off-site rehearsal space. Mr. Brown will be in touch with details about where and when.
