Please see the below information from Mr. Kurr about the upcoming orchestra performances.  Note that this only applies to students in full orchestra (you know if that's you).

===

WED 3/13  Symphony Orchestra (Block 3) & Member of the Block 7 Wind Ensemble  Eine Kleine Kindermusik  During the school day: student spend Blocks 1-2 in the PAC performing for most of the district 2nd & 3rd graders.  Come to PAC right away at start of school day for warm-up rehearsal  Dress: Full concert attire (bring regular clothes to change into if desired)

THURS 3/14  Symphony & Sinfonia + members of the Block 2 Junior Concert Band & Block 7 Wind Ensemble  Concerto Showcase  Arrive at MHS: No later than 6:45-7:00pm to tune and do personal warm-up  Dress: Full concert attire   Concert begins: 7:30pm--each ensemble is in the audience for the other's performance  Reception: we need some volunteers to bring snacks and help with set up  VOLUNTEER HERE or go to the MHS BOPA web page.

TUES 3/19  Cardinal  7-8-9 Concert  Arrive at MHS: No later than 6:30pm to tune and do personal warm-up  Dress: normal CardOrch concert dress  Concert begins: 7:00pm--MS ensembles first, CO at the end  Should be about a 1 hour event

It is important for all students to come to these performances.  Students should have told coaches, bosses, etc. already about these concerts to avoid conflicts.  This is a chance for us to all show families some of the learning we have done over the past few months and every absent member diminishes the experience for all, both on stage and in the audience.

Thanks!

A few concerns / rumors have arisen over the email request for lawyers/accountants from our Spring Supper Committee last night.  To clarify:  BOPA is not, nor have they ever been in any legal or financial trouble, and we have professional accountants look over the BOPA books and taxes each year to protect the investment of our students, parents and community.

The request was for Spring Supper Auction Items.  The committee wished to solicit parents in the legal/accounting fields to provide a donation of time to be raffled off at spring supper. The vague nature of the email left some parents/community members concerned for financial stability of BOPA.  We can ensure all is well (no scandals here).

Thanks

The Band Staff

Any parties who are interested in a donation of time for our silent auction can reach out at   mhsbopaspringsupper@gmail.com
